Role Objective:

The Factory Inventory Accountant will be the custodian of all physical and digital stock. The primary mission is to maintain a "Live Inventory" ecosystem utilizing barcode scanning and ERP integration to track raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and finished goods. This role provides the analytical backbone for the Supply Chain team to make data-driven procurement decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Inventory Management (ERP & Barcoding):
  • Lead the implementation and daily management of barcode-based data collection at all entry and exit points (Warehouse, Knitting/Dyeing floor, Packing)
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in ERP data entry (SAP/Tally), reflecting real-time stock levels
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records daily to identify and eliminate discrepancies
WIP & Production Tracking:
  • Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) stages to identify bottlenecks or "hidden" floor stock
  • Track material consumption against production orders to monitor wastage and efficiency
Analytics & Aging Support:
  • Conduct deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on inventory variances or production losses
  • Provide detailed reports on Old/Dead Stock and "Slow-moving" items to trigger liquidation or alternative usage
  • Analyze "Yield vs. Consumption" to ensure factory efficiency is meeting financial targets
Supply Chain Collaboration:
  • Act as the lead advisor to the Supply Chain Team regarding raw material "Re-order Levels.
  • Provide historical consumption data to forecast future raw material requirements (Yarn, Dyes, Chemicals)

Requirements:

  • BBA/MBA in Accounting and Finance; ACA/ACCA, FCA/FCMA will be preferred
  • Minimum 10 years in a factory-based accounting or inventory role within the RMG or Fabric sector
  • Both Bangladeshi and foreign experts are eligible to apply for this position
  • Software Expertise: Advanced command of Tally Prime or SAP (MM/FI modules)
  • Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with handheld barcode scanners, RFID, or automated data capture tools
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform Ageing Analysis and Variance Analysis

  • Ensure raw material lead times are factored into the production timeline to avoid bottlenecks
Strategic Leadership & Optimization:
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies in the fabric manufacturing process
  • Implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for material movement from "Port to Plant to Product"
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in Supply Chain Management, specifically within the RMG or Fabric manufacturing industry
  • MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related technical degree (Textile Engineering background is a significant plus)
