Job Objective:

This is a high-potential leadership role and the incumbent will be embedded initially in the Treasury & Banking function to build deep expertise in corporate financing, liquidity management, and banking relationships. Over time, the role will expand progressively across Accounts, Financial Reporting, Costing, Internal Controls, and Commercial Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury & Banking:

  • Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash position monitoring, fund flow planning, and liquidity management across the other business units
  • Own and maintain relationships with commercial banks; manage working capital facilities, term loans, LC / back-to-back structures, and packing credit
  • Prepare and maintain rolling cash-flow and fund-flow forecasts; ensure timely availability of funds for payroll, vendor payments, statutory dues, and capital expenditure
  • Monitor and minimise FX exposure; assist in interest-rate risk management and hedging.
  • Ensure all banking documentation – LC issuance, amendments, acceptances, and bank guarantees – is accurate, timely, and compliant
  • Track covenant compliance and prepare lender reporting as required
  • Continuously benchmark the cost of borrowing and identify opportunities to optimise the financing structure

 Financial Reporting & Accounting:

  • Support the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS / IAS and applicable Bangladesh regulatory requirements
  • Ensure month-end and year-end close processes are completed on schedule with fully reconciled control accounts
  • Assist in external and internal audits; coordinate document preparation and drive timely remediation of findings
  • Ensure compliance with income tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations in coordination with the tax team

 Financial Planning & Management Reporting:

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning cycle.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS dashboards covering liquidity, revenue, cost, and key financial ratios for the senior leadership
  • Conduct variance analysis – actual vs. budget vs. forecast – and provide clear narratives for management review
  • Support investment appraisal, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling for capital allocation decisions

 Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls across assigned business units
  • Ensure adherence to the Group’s Table of Authority and payment approval framework; escalate control breaches promptly
  • Assist in maintaining the fixed-asset register, inventory controls, and working capital discipline

Foreign Expansion & New Business Unit Support:

  • Act as the senior finance resource for Directors engaged in foreign expansion projects – including due diligence support, financial modelling, structure analysis, and regulatory / compliance mapping for target jurisdictions
  • Be deployed to newly acquired or greenfield business units within the Group to establish finance infrastructure: chart of accounts, reporting frameworks, banking set-up, and financial controls – typically in the early 12–24 months’ post-acquisition or launch
  • Prepare country- or entity-level financial analyses to support investment decisions and operational launch plans

Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with business unit heads, commercial teams, and operations leadership to provide financial insight that drives decision-making
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities as required

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounts and Finance from any reputed university
  • FCA or ACA (Fellow or Associate Chartered Accountant)
  • Minimum 8 – 12 years of experience in finance & Accounts, including meaningful exposure to treasury, corporate banking, and financial reporting in a multi-entity or Group environment

Salary:

  • BDT- 250,000 – 300,000/ (based on experience)
