Job Summary:

We are seeking a Regional Buying Manager who will serve as the commercial anchor for fresh procurement in your assigned region, overseeing supplier relationships, daily market intelligence, demand aggregation, and vendor performance across all stores.

This is a field-intensive, high-accountability role that directly impacts store-level profitability, customer footfall, and category gross margin.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Intelligence & Price Management:

• Monitor daily market prices, supply, and seasonal trends
• Share daily price updates with the Category team

Demand Planning:

• Consolidate store demand and validate it using sales trends and local events
• Prepare purchase plans for approved vendors

Vendor Management & Procurement:

• Negotiate prices with suppliers
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries
• Onboard and maintain approved vendors

Supply Performance:

• Monitor vendor performance (fill rate, delivery, quality, and pricing)
• Report supply issues and coordinate vendor payments

Quality Control:

• Inspect product quality and freshness
• Ensure quality standards and reduce product wastage

Store Coordination:

• Support stores with procurement planning and SOP compliance
• Ensure timely GRN completion and resolve supply issues

Reporting & KPI Monitoring:

• Submit daily and weekly procurement reports
• Track key KPIs such as availability, cost variance, and quality rejection

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fresh produce procurement or sourcing in retail, FMCG, or wholesale markets

Salary:

• BDT 30,000 – 40,000/(based on experience)
