Role Summary:

The Project Lead (Fish Project) will be responsible for end-to-end management of fishery-related projects, including sourcing, farming coordination, quality control, processing, and supply chain integration. The role focuses on developing sustainable fish supply networks, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting the company’s retail and export operations.

Key Responsibilities:

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
* Lead and manage fishery projects (aquaculture, sourcing, processing, distribution)
* Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
* Ensure timely execution and delivery of project milestones

𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 & 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠:
* Build and manage relationships with fish farmers, suppliers, and aggregators
* Ensure a consistent supply of high-quality fish to retail and distribution channels
* Optimize procurement processes to reduce cost and wastage

𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥:
* Oversee fish handling, storage, and transportation processes
* Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GAP)
* Implement quality assurance systems across the value chain

𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭:
* Identify new sourcing regions and expansion opportunities
* Support the development of private-label fish products for retail
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance product positioning

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
* Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, retail operations)
* Coordinate with external stakeholders (farmers, regulators, certification bodies)

𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞:
* Promote sustainable aquaculture practices
* Ensure regulatory compliance for local and export markets
* Support initiatives aligned with the company’s agro-value chain vision

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fisheries, Veterinary Science, Marine Biology, or related field
* Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in fisheries, Veterinary Science, or fish supply chain management
* Experience in project management within the agro or food sectors
* Prior experience working with retail or export-oriented fish businesses preferred

Salary:

• BDT 100,000 – 150,000/ (based on experience)
